red swollen fingers

my skin is red and swollen

because i played for too long

cannot recognise these fingers

i would call them ugly

not that long ago

if it was a couple years ago

a painful feeling is not that scary

if it is what is expected mostly

longevity is what makes it real

my hands hurt as a habit

have they done enough yet?

is it time for them to rest?
