those eyes have judgement inside them

that cannot be wiped away

it glows until it burns two holes

where someone else's eyes would be

it shines until it drowns a living being

in a pond made of their spit

i was an adult

before i got to be a child

i was born an adult

thinking

i used to wish to create some new words

now i've got nothing to whisper about

it's harder, it's harder to pronunciate

when no one's listening

it's not easy to learn how to talk

with a bandage covering your mouth
